Ajit Pawar’s Plane Crash Lands In Maharashtra’s Baramati, Fire Seen At Site
Multiple people have been injured after a plane used by NCP chief and Maharashtra’s Deputy Chief Minister Ajit Pawar crashed during an emergency landing attempt at Baramati airport. It is unclear if Ajit Pawar was on board, but reports say he was to fly to Baramati today to attend four important public meetings.
Visuals from the spot show fire and smoke, mangled remains of the plane, and ambulances rushing the injured to nearby hospitals. More details on what prompted the emergency landing attempt are awaited.
This incident occurred around 9 am, an hour after the plane took off from Mumbai. The NCP chief was to travel to Baramati to address rallies ahead of local body polls. Local sources have said the injured have suffered serious injuries.
