Shami cleared in Rs 1 lakh cheque bounce case filed by estranged wife

Mohammed Shami was acquitted by the Alipore Court in a four-year-old cheque bounce case filed by his estranged wife Hasin Jahan over a Rs 1 lakh cheque. Shami said he had paid everything required. However, their legal battle over maintenance continues, with the matter currently also being heard by the Supreme Court of India.
