Shahbaz was the star of East Zone's dominant performance. He walked in after East Zone had lost six wickets and went on to score 167 off 244 balls, hitting 17 fours and four sixes. His knock was the highest score of the match and helped East Zone post a huge first-innings total. He then picked up 3/20 in North East Zone's first innings and followed it with 1/53 in the second.
