Commonwealth Games 2026 Day 9 Highlights: India finished the ninth day of CWG 2026 on a high as the country scripted history across multiple sports. It all started with judoka Asmita Dey clinching India’s first-ever CWG gold medal in the sport. Another judoka, Harsh Singh, doubled the joy for the side with another top honour. Tejaswin Shankar then went on to etch his name in the history books by winning India’s maiden decathlon medal at the Commonwealth Games, a bronze. On the other hand, Indian boxers shone in unison, helping the nation win all 10 of its semi-finals on the day. Boxers Preeti Pawar, Ankush Panghal, Jaismine Lamboria, Jadumani Singh, Arundhati Choudhary, Sakshi Choudhary, Priya Ghanghas, Lovlina Borgohain, Sachin Siwach and Narender Berwal have booked their spots in the finals.
