India all-rounder named Mumbai Ranji captain for 2025-26 season

Shardul Thakur has been appointed as Mumbai’s captain for the 2025-26 Ranji Trophy season, succeeding Ajinkya Rahane. The Mumbai selectors also announced a list of 24 probables, excluding Shreyas Iyer, who is taking a break from red-ball cricket. The squad will be finalised before their opening match against Jammu & Kashmir in October.
