‘I won’t be able to play’ – Bumrah reveals why he declined India captaincy

Despite being the vice-captain, Bumrah communicated to the BCCI his inability to play all matches in a five-Test series, prioritizing the team’s stability. Shubman Gill was subsequently named captain for the England series, starting June 20 in Leeds.
