Sebi is set to introduce a mandatory UPI payment structure for market intermediaries by October 1, 2025, to combat fraud and enhance investor trust. This new framework ensures that investors transfer funds only to verified entities. Additionally, Sebi will launch “Sebi Check,” a tool for investors to verify UPI ID legitimacy, further securing digital transactions within the securities market.
