Government directs cricketing body to drop ‘India’ or ‘Indian’ from name

Sports Ministry has directed the Differently-Abled Cricket Council of India (DCCI) to cease using “India” or “Indian” in its name and activities, as it lacks National Sports Federation (NSF) recognition. Similar notices were issued to other sports bodies. DCCI seeks NSF status, highlighting its international events and BCCI backing.
