Aadhaar update charges hiked: Certain services cost more from October 1, biometric update fee for children waived – check details

The UIDAI will introduce a revised fee structure for Aadhaar services starting October 1, 2025, with subsequent increases from 2028. Standard service fees will rise, for example, from Rs 50 to Rs 75 and Rs 100 to Rs 125. While certain biometric updates remain free, other updates and standalone demographic changes will incur higher charges.
