India’s GST collection witnessed a 7.5% year-on-year increase, reaching Rs 1.96 lakh crore in July 2025, driven by strong domestic revenues and increased imports. Domestic revenue grew by 6.7%, while import taxes rose by 9.5%. Net GST revenue stood at Rs 1.69 lakh crore, reflecting a modest increase, though refunds surged significantly.
