China–India trade dispute: Beijing seeks WTO panel against India’s auto, battery and EV incentives after talks fail

China has escalated its trade dispute with India. It has asked the World Trade Organisation to form a panel. This is against India’s incentive schemes for automobiles, batteries, and electric vehicles. Bilateral talks failed to resolve the issue. China claims India’s schemes discriminate against its goods.
