Gas prices: CNG and domestic PNG tariffs to fall from January 1; PNGRB flags Rs 2–3 per unit savings

CNG and piped natural gas users will see bills drop by about Rs 2-3 per unit from January 1, 2026, as a new unified pipeline tariff kicks in. The petroleum regulator’s move simplifies charges and mandates that cost savings be passed directly to consumers, improving access and affordability nationwide.
