India’s Directorate General of Trade Remedies has launched an anti-dumping probe into Chinese-origin rubber imports, following a complaint from Reliance Sibur Elastomers. The probe investigates allegations of unfairly low pricing of Halo Isobutene and Isoprene Rubber, crucial for the automotive sector. If dumping and injury to domestic producers are confirmed, anti-dumping duties may be recommended to protect local manufacturers.
