Landlord vs tenant eviction case: Supreme Court rules in favour of landlord despite tenant’s son not signing rent receipts – here’s what the ruling means

The Supreme Court ruled in favour of a Bengaluru landlord in a tenant eviction case. The apex court held that rent receipts signed by the landlord are sufficient proof of a landlord-tenant relationship under the Karnataka Rent Act, 1999, even if the tenant’s son denied signing them.
