Prime Minister Narendra Modi inaugurated Mizoram’s first railway line, the Bairabi–Sairang broad-gauge project, a significant boost to the state’s connectivity. The project, costing Rs 8,070 crore, features complex engineering, including numerous tunnels and bridges. This new line directly links Aizawl with the Indian railway network, enhancing logistics, tourism, and daily life for residents.
