Donald Trump tariffs: Commerce Ministry to hold discussions with exporters; diversification of exports in focus

In response to the US imposing a 50% tariff on Indian goods, the Commerce Ministry is holding meetings with exporters across various industries like chemicals and gems and jewellery to explore new markets. This move aims to protect industries from the tariffs, which are expected to impact $48 billion worth of exports, particularly in sectors like textiles and leather.
